The scale and magnitude of the tragedy, both in human loss of life and suffering, as well as in material destruction has shocked the entire world. At this time of national crisis and personal mourning Members of the Institute for Research of Genocide of Canada express their solidarity and support to the government and people of Japan.

We wish to convey sincerest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have perished. Our thoughts are also very much with all who are anxiously awaiting news of family and friends still unaccounted for.

On the behave of the Institute for Research of Genocide of Canada I express our condolences to the entire Japanese nation in the biggest human tragedy in the country since World War II.
